Derefter str&oslash;mmer den kolde luft med flydende vanddr&aring;ber gennem WSD&#8217;en (5), hvor det flydende vand udskilles fra luften. Flydende vand ledes ud via aftapningsventilen (6). Derefter str&oslash;mmer det flydende k&oslash;lemiddel gennem t&oslash;rrerfilteret (8) (for at undg&aring; fugt og partikler) og derefter til ekspansionselementet (ekspansionsventil eller kapill&aelig;rr&oslash;r) (7). Efter at have passeret gennem ekspansionselementet (7) skifter k&oslash;lemidlet til meget lavere temperatur og tryk. Dette k&oslash;lemiddel l&oslash;ber derefter ind i&nbsp;fordamperen (4) og absorberer varme fra indsugningens varme trykluft og fordamper. Efter fordampningen str&oslash;mmer det gasformige (eller gas\/v&aelig;ske-blanding) k&oslash;lemiddel tilbage til k&oslash;lemiddelkompressorens indsugning (1) efter gas\/v&aelig;ske-udskilleren (9) (for at undg&aring; eventuelt v&aelig;skechok). H&oslash;jtryksbeskyttelsesafbryderen (12) aktiveres for at undg&aring;, at k&oslash;lemiddeltrykket kommer over en fastsat gr&aelig;nse. Derfor starter og stopper ventilatorens styrekontakt k\u00f8leventilatoren (3).
