V&nbsp;d&ocirc;sledku toho, &#382;e teplota kles&aacute;, vodn&aacute; para vo vstupnom vzduchu za&#269;ne kondenzova&#357;. Potom vzduch pr&uacute;di do v&yacute;parn&iacute;ka (4) a&nbsp;&#271;alej sa ochladzuje na teplotu vyparovania chladiaceeho m&eacute;dia. Kondenzuje sa viac tekutej vody. Studen&yacute; vzduch s&nbsp;kvapkami tekutej vody potom pr&uacute;di cez odtok separ&aacute;tora vody (5), kde sa tekut&aacute; voda odde&#318;uje od vzduchu. Kvapaln&aacute; voda sa vyp&uacute;&scaron;&#357;a cez vyp&uacute;&scaron;&#357;ac&iacute; ventil (6). Potom kvapaln&eacute; chladiace m&eacute;dium pr&uacute;di cez filter su&scaron;i&#269;a (8) (aby sa zabr&aacute;nilo vniknutiu vlhkosti a&nbsp;&#269;ast&iacute;c) a&nbsp;potom do expanzn&eacute;ho prvku (expanzn&yacute; ventil alebo kapil&aacute;ra) (7). Po prechode cez expanzn&yacute; prvok (7) sa chladiace m&eacute;dium prepne na ove&#318;a ni&#382;&scaron;iu teplotu a&nbsp;tlak. Toto chladiace m&eacute;dium potom vstupuje do v&yacute;parn&iacute;ka (4) a&nbsp;absorbuje teplo z&nbsp;priv&aacute;dzan&eacute;ho hor&uacute;ceho stla&#269;en&eacute;ho vzduchu, aby sa odparilo. Po odparen&iacute; sa chladiace m&eacute;dium plynu (alebo zmesi plynu\/kvapaliny) vracia sp&auml;&#357; do nas&aacute;vania kompresora chladiaceho m&eacute;dia (1) za separ&aacute;torom plynu\/kvapaliny (9) (aby sa predi&scaron;lo mo&#382;n&eacute;mu kvapalinov&eacute;mu n&aacute;razu). Vysokotlakov&yacute; ochrann&yacute; sp&iacute;na&#269; (12) sl&uacute;&#382;i na to, aby sa zabr&aacute;nilo prekro&#269;eniu limitu tlaku chladiaceho m&eacute;dia.
